The programs on offer are delivered through the Kim Baker Ballet Academy, and our partners, SIDE (School of Isolated and Distance Education) and Empowerdance (RTO 40397).

 

Students from 12yrs (Level 2), are eligible to participate in our Professional Training Full Time Program where classes are held mostly during the day. The program allows for more hours of training, allowing students the best possible outcomes for their future in Dance.

 

Full Time students attend a well-developed integrated training program, based on the Vaganova Syllabus, with clear outcomes and examinations for each level up to Level 7 for the Classical stream. The Contemporary levels are devised by industry Professionals, with a strong focus on Contemporary for the Contemporary stream.

 

Our Full-Time program also includes a VET program for years 11 and 12 and above if desired, delivered in partnership with Empowerdance (RTO 40397), incorporating CUA40120 Certificate IV in Dance for the Dancer stream and CUA40320 Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management for the teaching stream (the CUA40320 Certificate IV in Dance teaching and Management is delivered by Empowerdance through their Elevate program). Prospective teachers are also required to assist teach at KBBA during the term.

 

All full-time students also have the option of studying our already established Certificate Courses, CUA10120 Certificate I in Dance, CUA20120 Certificate II in Dance and CUA30120 Certificate II in Dance alongside their school and dance training.

 

Thus, our course enables our students to have many options for future Pathways, carefully constructed for each student.

 

KBBA has a strong collaboration with families, academic institutions and allied health professionals to provide a holistic approach and support for each individual student. Education remains a strong focus for the students, with years 7-12 (including ATAR) delivered by SIDE, KBBA and families, and the VET Program delivered by KBBA and Empowerdance (RTO 40397).
