WELCOME TO KIM BAKER BALLET ACADEMY ACADEMY CLASSES

Welcome to term one classes at the Kim Baker Ballet Academy. Term one commences on Monday 1st February, 2016, and our office open day is to be held Saturday 30TH January, at Unit2/27 Laurence Rd, Walliston (Walliston Studio) from 9.30am-2.00pm, where you can enrol your child into their classes of choice, pay fees and buy uniforms and shoes. The MDM shoe fitting Specialists will be fitting their amazing brand of shoes on all of our students and future students on our open day as well.

We are looking forward to a fantastic year with our students, and to kick off another fantastic year at KBBA we will be holding a two day Creative Core course (30th and 31st January), with professional dancer and actor Josef Brown, who will be conducting classes in Classical, Contemporary and Drama to name a few. We are very excited and privileged to have such an experienced and talented teacher and mentor take classes for our students.

The Kim Baker Ballet Academy senior Specialist students are also preparing for the amazing opportunity to dance with the Austrian Ballet Company Tokyo in March where they will perform alongside the Company Ballet dancers in the beautiful performance of Urashima Taro. The performance will be held at the WA Dance Company theatre studio in Midland on Sunday 13th March at 2pm. Tickets will go on sale on Friday 12th February, and can be purchased by phoning the Academy on PH: 0438 673 212. Ticket prices are all $25.00 each. 
All KBBA dancers will also be participating in Master Classes with the Austrian Ballet Company Tokyo Directors while they are here throughout March, so it will be a very exciting term 1 at the Academy.

The Kim Baker Ballet Academy in Walliston, Forrestfield and Bassendean is one of the finest ballet schools in Perth, offering Ballet classes from 2 ½ yrs, with Tiny Tots Ballet, Junior to Senior programs and Specialist classes for talented students.

Contemporary classes are also available from 10 years of age. The Academy offers classes for fun and also for the serious dancer, where students can attend as little as 1 class per week and up to 6 classes per week, depending on the needs of each individual student.

KBBA is auditioning now for talented dancers to join their Specialist Program. This program is designed for dancers who would like to pursue a career in dance – Ballet, Contemporary or Dance Teaching. Dancers are accepted from 9yrs of age to 18yrs of age, and to arrange a private audition please phone the Academy Director on

KBBA Performance of Paquita Excerpts.

With over 20 years experience Kim Baker established her ballet school in Kalamunda in 1990. The Kim Baker Ballet Academy is one of the finest schools of dance, and offers classes for tiny tots from 2 and half years through to adults, in the hills area.

Classes are available for all levels and standards, and all classes are taught by accredited, enthusiastic and caring dance instructors. Examinations, private lessons, performing experience and specialist classes for the talented and dedicated dancer are available.

All senior classes are held in a professional air-conditioned ballet studio, equipped with sprung wooden floor, mirrors and barres.

Ballet promotes the development of self-esteem, good co-ordination, rhythm, love of dance, good posture, listening skills and confidence.

Classes are held in WALLISTON, FORRESTFIELD AND BASSENDEAN




Kim is on an ongoing mission to progressively incorporate the latest techniques from the finest leading ballet schools from around the world, and most recently from America.

Kim attended one on one sessions with leading dance teachers from the American School of Ballet, which is the training school for New York City Ballet, and also the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of Ballet, which is the training school for the American Ballet Theatre. Kim attended classical classes and also training classes for pas de deux.

The students at KBBA benefit from the constant pursuit for continual improvement, and most recently have had success into gaining entry to WAAPA Dance Performance Course, the elite Australian Ballet School Interstate Training Program and The Jacinta Ross Ehlers Award.

All of the students attending KBBA are taken by caring and accredited dance instructors. The Tiny Tots and Junior Classes are designed for the students to learn through enjoyment, developing imagination, self-expression, musicality, co-ordination, good posture and listening skills. All of these skills being vital for your child"s self-esteem and confidence.
